Where to begin...

So here I am blogging for the first time in about 4 years. It feels good to be back, although I feel as if I've forgotten how to write, much less type correctly, use the correct grammar and punctuation (comma splices are my enemy) and make sense of the words my fingers are producing. Let's not even go into whether I have anything of merit to say here. I guess I'll just talk about the most exciting thing to happen in my dull little life of late. I got engaged a week ago! A pretty big deal to me I must say. I definitely didn't see it coming. He caught me completely off guard. Now I'm going crazy wondering what to do first and who do I invite, and thinking about how utterly poor we are and how we're ever going to afford to get married. But I'm happy...
